I decided to book this shoot to prove to myself that I can be sexy just as I am, without unhealthy dieting and over-excercising. I’ve struggled with eating disorders in the past, but have worked hard to reach a happy place of self-acceptance and -love. It is still difficult to nourish myself properly, however, before an event where my body will be exposed, like a photo shoot or Fourth of July on the beach. Weeks in advance, I start stressing and counting calories, all for a look that society has taught me is “hot”. This was the first time I haven’t fed into that. This was the first time I fed myself. I wanted to say something this time, and show that you don’t need to “prepare” or “get ready” to be sexy. You can just be.
My favorite part of the shoot was the shoot itself! Brittany and Mike are so warm and professional and give the most genuine compliments throughout that keep you feeling beautiful and confident. I could not be happier with my experience!
I absolutely LOVE my photos. I’ve read these testimonials before, and everyone always says you’ll be surprised at how much you love your body, and I could not agree more! So much time has been wasted in front of the mirror criticizing my body, then here I am in the viewing room with wide eyes over my photos. We are all so beautiful. If only we realized it more!
