“The sexy and natural look of boudoir photos has always attracted me, even when I was uncomfortable with my body image. When I turned 30 and was hit with the reality that I’ve always found some ‘imperfection’ with myself, that time was certainly not on my side, and that I would never have that ‘some day I’ll get myself to look photo worthy’ since I am so critical, I decided to just do it. Shoot the photos for the perfect Dirty Thirty birthday gift to myself, for myself.”

“Sitting on that viewing couch before we started, I was so incredibly nervous. Everyone has ‘unfortunate looking’ photos in a shoot, its natural. You’re moving around, the camera is going. A funny facial expression, unforgiving reach, or position adjustment. I saw none of those because they were filtered out, so the critical, embarrassing looks were not there to haunt me. I loved my photos, more than I can fully express. I still am in awe of them.”

“Simply what has been said a thousand times. Just do it. Don’t wait for the “some day” we all have in the back of our minds holding us back. That image we think we need to have for a shoot like this isn’t reality; it is not going to happen if you put off a life experience like this for that reason. I have absolutely zero regrets. None. The ambiance of the shoot is very welcoming from the start, and never changes.”
